PreventLux Since January 2005 Prevent has been developing official activities in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg via the Luxembourg non-profit association, PreventLux. The articles of association of the association were published in the “mémorial” of 21 February 2005. Like it's parent association Prevent, PreventLux develops resources and activities that can help prevent industrial accidents and occupational diseases and improve well-being at work.
PreventLux actively aims to work together with different partners on the ground to set up activities. The centre wants to get dialogue going with organisations such as the social partners, industrial accident insurers, services for health at work, educational institutions and the government. As a result it will be possible to realise scale benefits and to achieve common objectives.
PreventLux has signed a partnership agreement with the Luxembourg government. It stipulates that PreventLux will support the work of the “Inspection du Travail et de Mines (ITM)” through training, information resources, campaigns and the provision of documentation.
In 2009, the partnership also related to the activities of the Luxembourg government in collaboration with the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, i.e. the management of the website of the Luxembourg focal point.
