International networks As a result of globalisation, safety and health issues are not only going beyond national borders, but also beyond European borders. Prevent has not neglected to develop the necessary partnerships and networks on this level. International Social Security Association
Prevent has been working with the safety committee of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) for many years. The institute is the chairman of the Information Section, supported by the CCOHS (Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety) and the CIOP (Centralny Institut Ochrony Pracy), the Polish institute for health and safety at work.

International Information Centre CIS/BIT
Prevent represents the International Information Centre CIS/BIT in Belgium. The institute passes on its own publications for inclusion in the CIS database and has direct access to the complete collection of CIS. The CIS centre celebrated its 50th anniversary in October 2009.

The “Sheffield group”
Prevent is part of the “Sheffield group”, an informal group consisting of the directors of around twenty safety institutes across the world. The group discusses the various new developments in the study and research of safety, health and well-being at work.
International Disability Management Standards Council
Prevent is a member of the International Disability Management Standards Council (IDMSC). This network also includes the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
